Apple has invested $200 million dollars to Corning, the ceramics and glass maker company. Corning helped create the first iPhone and has also been a long time supplier of Apple. They not only develop their glass in the US but continue to innovate in this ever-changing world of technology.
Apple not only wants to help create new manufacturing jobs in the US but boost production, and because of this investment with Corning has already created 1000 jobs in the U.S. Wendell P. Corning's chairman and CEO states that "this investment will ensure our plant in Harrodsburg remains a global center of excellence for glass technology."
